It really seems that we are in for difficult times and I do not want to give the impression of being negative, but I do want to give a wake-up call. The media is daily releasing news of more violence, murder, anti-Semitism, transgenderism, euthanasia, abortion, racism and talk of even changing the definition of parents - all of which challenge our biblical morals. This should be sounding out an alarm for us to pray more and seek the Lord in this decline of our nation. It
seems that people just want to put the blame on others for their own outbursts and heart attitudes of hate and racism. Why is it that people always want to put the blame on others instead of taking responsibility and accountability for their own words and actions?
The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 to realize that in the last days before Christ’s return, difficult times will come. It says that people “will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious slanderers, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding onto a form of godliness, although they have denied its power.” Now that explains to us why such deep darkness is covering the earth and the people. Jesus said that because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold (Matt. 24:12). These people who deny the power of the blood and Spirit of Christ want to let on to us that they know who God is and know what His will is concerning all different lifestyles. They want to shut us up and for us to be quiet. But we have a voice! We can discern these imposters with their evil attitudes, behaviours and swelling words which are just bs (bad spirits that want their way) to deceive many.
Did I shock you? Isn't that exactly what we are hearing and seeing? Jesus Christ is Lord. He has not changed His way of thinking concerning hate, violence, racism, and rebellion against authority that is going on in our own backyard and in the world. He has made us to be His light, to be His voice, and to have His character and attitude as we are filled with His Spirit to be able to stand against all of this. As 1 Cor. 4:20 tells us, the kingdom of God does not consist in word but in power. The tree is known by its fruit. “...the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil.... Every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matt. 12:34-37)
Now Christ is a loving Saviour who is just and righteous. He says that everyone is accountable for their words and actions in this life; so let us make sure our hearts remain in right standing with Him. Let us make sure that our lives count for Christ. Your mission field and assignments are right in front of you. It is wherever the Lord has put you. He has equipped you for the task. We must remain fervent in heart, pray without ceasing, and believe for the supernatural to be involved in our lives. We must also keep ourselves free from the spirit of the world, the spirit of Baal, by asking God to fill us daily with His Spirit, His love and wisdom.
We have been called to pray with God's faith, believing that He hears the cry of the righteous ones. So don't become fearful or discouraged in these difficult times, but rise to the call to be a prayer warrior. Don't let anyone tell you that the entire new covenant of Jesus Christ is not for you today. Keep your passion for the Lord. Don't let circumstances, trials or tests rob you of your joy in the Lord, but believe that God is using all of these to mould you and that you are becoming more like Him. Remember, God's faith and Spirit has given you the ability to be bold and to be His witness. We just need to ask Him every morning to be used as a witness - a soul winner for Him.
