Matthew 5:11-12 - “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
Many times, we will hear offensive, critical, judgmental words spoken to us, but we must keep King Jesus on the throne of our hearts, for He is our Saviour and Deliverer. Keep rejoicing in Him.
He was insulted, yet on the cross, He was willing to say, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” He forgave us before we repented.
We are not to allow other people’s opinions to influence us but be influenced by the Spirit of God. This way, we will rightly influence others in these days. We no longer belong to the spirit of the world. So, rejoice when you are insulted. Do not take offense but remain humble in the Lord. Forgive these ones and love and pray for them, just as Jesus would.
Hebrews 11:6 – “And without faith it is impossible to please Him …” But we that do, He will reward us for diligently seeking Him.
